Federal Programs: School Improvement Plan Overview

Under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), schools operating a schoolwide or targeted assistance program are required to develop a comprehensive improvement plan. This plan is created with input from teachers, principals, parents, and other key stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to school improvement.

Key Components of the ACIP Plan

  • Comprehensive Needs Assessment: The foundation of the plan is a thorough evaluation of the school's strengths and areas for growth.
  • Data-Driven Goals: The plan prioritizes students' needs and outlines strategies to help them achieve the challenging state academic standards.
  • Ongoing Monitoring: Implementation of the plan is closely monitored to track progress and make adjustments as needed.
  • Continuous Revision: The plan is regularly updated to reflect changes in student needs, school priorities, and community feedback.

This improvement plan ensures that every student has access to the resources, support, and opportunities they need to succeed academically and thrive in a supportive learning environment.

ACIP Plans can be found on each school's website under parent information tab.
