My name is Annette Douthitt Sturkie, and I am proud to be a Kindergarten teacher at Cobb Preparatory Academy!!  I am from Ohatchee, received a Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Education from the Jacksonville State University.  I am certified to teach Early Childhood and Elementary Education. This will be my 26th year in the Anniston City Schools System and my 28th year in education. I taught 1st and 5th grade at Johnston Elementary, 5th grade at Norwood Elementary, 5th grade at Randolph Park Elementary, and 6th grade reading at Anniston Middle 

I have a gift and a true passion for working with younger learners!  Helping each child progress in all areas of their development—academic, social, language, and motor—is a challenge that I am honored to accept daily.  I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive, fun environment. 

Personally, I have two fantastic children and three awesome grandchildren who I adore greatly. I also enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
